Welcome to our HALO website!

HALO is a group of pilots and residents based at Home Acres Sky Ranch (Y91) just outside Lake City, Michigan. We gather for social activities such as group fly-outs, potlucks, and bonfires. We also help the airport owner mow the runways/taxiways and provide support for the annual Dawn Patrol event. On Sunday of Memorial Day weekend, about 750 people fly in and drive in for breakfast that is prepared by HALO members, their family and friends. The Dawn Patrol ran for 57 consecutive years beginning in 1963, but has been on hold since 2020.

Home Acres Sky Ranch Airpark (Y91) is home to nearly 200 half-acre lots. Some residents have 2 or 3 combined lots for their house and hangar, others built on single lots, and there are vacant lots still available for future residents to build their dream home with runway access. There is almost always real estate (homes/hangars/land) available for purchase from current lot owners.
